Ecommerce professional services provider OSF Digital announced today the integration of the e-Spirit content management system into Lancôme USA existing ecommerce environment.
As an international L'Oréal luxury division brand, Lancôme USA decided to go beyond localization when innovating its content management strategy. For the completion of this objective they formed an agreement entirely unique to their industry with premier media company Condé Nast, involving the creation of targeted editorial content for the ecommerce website.
“With this initiative, we aim to bridge the gap between content and commerce in an inspirational way, totally different from the regular catalogs on our website,” said Kristopher Jean, Director of Digital Strategy and Ecommerce at L'Oréal.
Inspired by the online media universe, the newly incorporated content section focuses on daily beauty routines or outstanding care topics while encompassing product conversations in order to streamline the buyer experience. OSF Digital was selected by Lancôme USA as their technology integrator, after having successfully implemented the Lancôme flagship website in France.
According to Kristopher Jean, “OSF Digital proved to be highly cooperative and top-notch, from the field men up to the project manager. They had great attention to detail, but also, they would go above and beyond when seeking new ways in which they could help with this launch.”
The new content-to-commerce solution was released in December 2015 and is expected to increase time on site for Lancôme USA visitors and positively influence their purchasing behavior.
