Québec City, Canada – December 10, 2020 – OSF Digital announced today that it has become a member of Pledge 1%, a worldwide philanthropic program that encourages companies and individuals to pledge 1% of equity, profit, product and/or employee time to their communities.
Pledge 1% aims to create a standard where giving back is integrated into companies of all sizes. Participating companies choose their own causes and nonprofits, and Pledge 1% helps by offering turnkey resources and best practices.
For years, OSF Digital has been giving back to the communities in which it operates, focusing on children and families in need, education and the environment. Numerous philanthropic efforts include sponsoring children to attend summer camps, funding childcare center projects such as a playground, supporting families during the holidays, and donating school supplies, books and clothing to children. OSF also created a scholarship program and organizes workshops for children, emphasizing environmental and ecological topics.
This year, OSF donated more than 100 computers (desktop, laptops and PC servers) and nearly 100 monitors to disadvantaged children and young adults living in isolated villages or orphanages. In addition, OSF gave close to 200,000 Canadian dollars in cash charitable contributions over the past two years.
As a member of Pledge 1%, OSF Digital will continue to dedicate time and funding to charitable causes worldwide.
