OSF Digital Delivers a Full-Featured Website Revamp of Kastas’ B2B Commerce Portal

Québec City, Canada – February 12, 2019 – OSF Digital announced today the company has completed a range of improvements for Kastas’ B2B commerce portal,

Kastas is a leading manufacturer and supplier of sealing technologies. The company produces advanced sealing elements for fluid power and a variety of specific applications. Using as a B2B sales portal, Kastas offers a wide range of products from seven warehouses in Turkey and Germany.

Kastas’ site was initially built on Salesforce Community Cloud and used as an ecommerce portal. The existing integration of the platform provided limited functionality and was not responsive or user-friendly. It was desktop-oriented and lacked the flexibility to conform to mobile devices. The company struggled with an inefficient ERP system that was not versatile enough to meet their needs.

OSF Digital took a comprehensive approach to the redesign of Kastas’ commerce portal and upgraded all of Seal-Link’s pages to be more responsive, including the home page, product detail page (PDP), category landing page, shopping cart, checkout page, My Account, and static pages.

To provide Kastas with robust ERP functionality, OSF Digital implemented a SAP system and tightly integrated it with the brand’s Salesforce Community Cloud-based commerce website. When a customer places an order, Salesforce Community Cloud writes it to the SAP system with complete order line item details. The functionality of this SAP integration provides Kastas with the ability to retrieve and view a customer’s order and financial history. This flawless synchronization between Salesforce Community Cloud and the SAP system allows customers to check pricing and stock availability for order line items in real time.

Seal-Link’s registered customers now enjoy simplified account management through a user-friendly control panel in the My Account section of the website. Customers can choose to quickly review their order and personal financial history or select information from a specific timeframe.

Additionally, OSF Digital simplified and shortened the checkout process for Seal-Link’s customers who can now complete their purchase in one simple step. Further customizations have been applied to allow customers to order a partial shipment and add a new shipping address immediately on the checkout page.

Seal-Link’s shopping cart’s functionality was expanded to enable customers to add their saved order to a cart and get a stock update from SAP. They can also place an order by uploading an Excel file with a list of items, instead of ordering items one by one. Customers can also export their shopping cart to PDF and limit the total cart value for credit card payments.

With OSF Digital’s support, Kastas’ sales portal is fully responsive and seamlessly integrated with their ERP system. The company expects to see an increase in sales and a greater number of customers visiting as a result of the work performed by OSF.
