Business analyst's responsibilities include helping to define business problems via in depth investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information. Once the issue is clearly understood, they outline detailed requirements for a solution and ensure the delivered solution meets those business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, goals, and requirements. 
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, systems, and workflows. 
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Gather and document detailed business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications. 
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and gather feedback from stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and effective solution delivery. 
  • Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments to evaluate proposed solutions. 
  • Analyze and document business processes, data flows, and system interactions. 
  • Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current and desired states. 
  • Assist in the development and execution of test plans and test cases. 
  • Provide support and guidance to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis.

Skills Required 

  • Digital, e-commerce experience/ knowledge  
  • Funcational Documentation  
  • Good Communication skills  
  • Analytical thinking  
  • Understanding of customer’s business needs and priorities  
  • Comfortable with client facing 
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in both languages.

Additional Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • Relevant certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are advantageous.
