In this exciting role, you will design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge automated test scripts for regression, security, and other testing types, ensuring our products are robust, scalable, and reliable. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in building automation frameworks that drive quality across Salesforce CPQ, FSC, Revenue, Automotive, Health, and Service Clouds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and test suites for Salesforce Core Clouds (CPQ, FSC, Revenue, Automotive, Health, Service).
- Build automation solutions end-to-end, including project structure, tooling, test strategy, and CI/CD integration.
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and ensure reliable execution across environments.
- Define and maintain coding conventions, folder structures, naming standards, and documentation for automation projects.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure automation-friendly environments (sandbox setup, data refresh routines, mock/stub services).
- Improve performance by parallelizing tests, using selective execution, and minimizing brittle UI flows.
- Continuously refactor automation code to remove flakiness and technical debt.
- Proactively identify risks, raise impediments early, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with product development and QA teams to identify test cases for automation and refine acceptance criteria.
- Ensure automated tests align with evolving business requirements and Salesforce Core Cloud features.
- Present automation approaches, test strategies, and framework designs to clients—including non-technical stakeholders—in clear, accessible language.
- Participate in workshops, demos, and solution discussions to help clients understand automation value, feasibility, and trade-offs.
- Analyze automated test results, investigate failures, and provide detailed defect reports.
- Maintain and optimize the automation environment for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Provide guidance, training, and hands-on support to less-experienced QA engineers transitioning into automation roles.
- Conduct code reviews, share best practices, and uplift the automation skill set across the QA organization.
- Act as a technical resource and point of contact for automation-related questions within the team.
Requirements & Technical Competencies:
3+ years of experience working with Salesforce Core Cloud projects (CPQ, FSC, Revenue, Automotive, Health, Service).
Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks (Playwright preferred; Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO acceptable).
Proficiency in one or more automation languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#.
Proven experience building automation frameworks from the ground up, including CI/CD integration.
Strong understanding of Gherkin syntax and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
Familiarity with DevOps workflows, CI/CD tools, and environment configuration.
Ability to perform both automated and manual testing as needed.
